Earlier this year, the Emirates Red Crescent Authority began supporting the pilot phase of the digital school, which is the first to be implemented by the initiative in the Emirati-Jordanian camp for Syrian refugees in the Mrayjib Al Fhood area in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to test the school system and its content, where the Red Crescent Authority worked to coordinate various logistical operations to provide The learning space for students participating in the 60-hour educational experiment, ensuring the availability of various equipment that students need from computers or tablets, in addition to providing internet access, and coordinating between the initiative, the Jordanian Ministry of Education and the camp administration to ensure the success of the experiment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In turn, His Excellency Dr. Muhammad Ateeq Al Falahi, Secretary-General of the Emirates Red Crescent, affirmed the authority’s welcome of its strategic partnership with the digital school to enhance distance education opportunities in a smart and flexible way in countries that suffer from many challenges in the education process due to crises and disasters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said that the authority is interested in such smart partnerships that embody the vision of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, representative of the ruler in the Al Dhafra region and head of the Emirates Red Crescent, to unify and combine efforts in order to advance the education process in countries and regions facing humanitarian crises and development challenges in this regard. Pointing to His Highness’ interest and constant quest to invent solutions that make education available to all in all circumstances and conditions, despite crises and emergencies, in his belief in the importance of education in achieving sustainable development goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Al-Falahi stressed that the digital school initiative will bring about a shift in the level of educational services directed to the children of refugees and displaced persons inside and outside the camps, noting that the Red Crescent Authority will spare no effort to achieve the goals of the initiative and expand the umbrella of beneficiaries of its educational and academic programs in many countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The second memorandum of understanding signed between the Digital School and Dubai Cares, which are affiliated with the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Foundation, focused on coordinating the efforts of the two sides to enhance cooperation between them in providing digital learning options by employing smart and flexible solutions for students and learners around the world. The world, and providing educational materials that are compatible with the Arab and international curricula, as well as providing licensed teachers to provide educational lessons virtually, and the necessary tools and equipment that help students to self-learn, acquire knowledge and skills and obtain accredited certificates, with a focus on continuing to work to provide education for all, especially in countries. Under the memorandum, Dubai Cares will be a strategic partner and a major supporter of the digital school, where the two sides will cooperate to enhance the initiative and provide the necessary mechanisms to disseminate the experience globally while cooperating to provide the expertise required to support the digital education strategy and support strategic partnerships with United Nations organizations and agencies and global and regional NGOs. Facilitate access to international programs to support education, partnership and cooperation with them, and coordinate joint efforts to organize campaigns to support digital education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The memorandum allows the submission of proposals for strategic partnerships, providing expertise, ideas and proposals to support the project, its development and sustainability, providing media support for the project through digital media, cooperating on facing challenges, coordinating field work teams, providing consultations on work in the communities benefiting from the initiative, and monitoring, following up and evaluating its results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the memorandum signed by His Excellency Dr. Tariq Mohammed Al Gurg, CEO of Dubai Cares, and Dr. Waleed Al Ali, Secretary General of the Digital School Project, the two parties agreed to form a joint working group between the two sides to coordinate, follow up and implement its provisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two memorandums of understanding support the achievement of the goals of the “Digital School”, which is affiliated with the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, including providing learning opportunities for students wherever they are and in different circumstances, and introducing an integrated, flexible and approved digital educational curriculum for various educational levels that takes into account the personal needs of each learner and develops Knowledge and skills by benefiting from the applications of artificial intelligence and advanced digital technologies, as well as raising the educational level, and establishing standards for digital education in cooperation and coordination with various local, regional and international bodies concerned with the future of digital and continuous learning, leading to the education of one million students around the world during the next five years from 2021 until 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
