His Excellency Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Digital Economy, Artificial Intelligence and Remote Work Applications and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the “Digital School”, stressed that the partnership with the World Food Program comes within the framework of the “Digital School”‘s keenness to expand its global partnerships aimed at enhancing the capabilities of digital education and achieving The vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to unite efforts in providing quality education opportunities for all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This came following the agreement signed by the Digital School, one of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, with the World Food Program in the Arab Republic of Egypt with the aim of implementing innovative digital learning programs by the Digital School in community schools supervised by the World Food Program in Egypt. Where modern technologies are employed to expand educational opportunities and experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His Excellency added: “The agreement seeks to achieve the goals of supporting education as an essential part of the sustainable development goals, providing flexible and advanced methods for education, upgrading skills through applications that rely on digital technology, and enabling all those wishing to learn to obtain opportunities to receive knowledge wherever they are, and according to which experiences will be exchanged with the Food Program The United Nations\u2019 global initiative, in order to achieve the sustainable development goals related to education by 2030, as the agreement will contribute to the implementation of the digital school in 100 educational centers, reaching the largest possible number of students during the next stages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His Excellency pointed out that the digital learning sector is constantly developing and rising around the world, which highlights the importance of the availability of digital tools, the use of advanced technology, the adoption of innovative practices and smart technologies, and the strengthening of partnership with academic institutions and educational bodies in pursuit of sustainable development goals in spreading education around the world. The UAE is keen to share its vast experience and successful experience in employing its technological infrastructure and specialized talents to find innovative solutions that serve communities around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For his part, Pravin Agrawal, Director of the World Food Programme, Resident Representative and Director of the World Food Program Office in the Arab Republic of Egypt, said: \u201cSheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, said, ‘Women are half of society, and a country that builds itself should not keep women drowning. The agreement comes within the framework of the “Digital School”‘s endeavor to spread this initiative in many countries, especially in educationally disadvantaged communities, through official frameworks and channels concerned with education and learning in these countries, with the aim of educating one million students around the world by 2026, by providing Digital educational and enrichment materials that harmonize the Arab and international curricula, provide the opportunity for interaction between teachers and students through virtual classrooms, and in the future offer internationally accredited certificates, enabling students to complete their university studies or obtain jobs in institutions and companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Once the first phase is concluded by the end of the current academic year, coordination will be made to expand the scope and impact of the initiative to include more sites and beneficiaries throughout the Arab Republic of Egypt and other countries in which the World Food Program supports education and implements the “Digital School”, a digital teacher training program, which aims To build the capacities of teachers and educational leaders and enable them to practically contribute to building flexible and advanced learning communities, by working to develop capabilities and skills in the areas of digital education in partnership and coordination with Arizona State University, enabling them to become certified digital teachers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Providing quality education as a basis for achieving and sustaining development is among the priorities of the digital school as a comprehensive Arab and international initiative that contributes to supporting the existing education systems, and provides a flexible option for digital self-learning at a time when the speed of adaptation to transformations and changes has become a requirement for the continuity of education. Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum\u2019s global initiatives, to provide learning opportunities for students wherever they are and in different circumstances, and to introduce an integrated, flexible and approved digital educational curriculum for different educational levels that takes into account the personal needs of each learner and develops knowledge and skills by making use of artificial intelligence applications and advanced digital technologies, as well as raising the educational level. Establishing standards for digital education in cooperation and coordination with various local, regional and international bodies concerned with the future of digital and continuous learning, leading to the education of one million students around the world over the next five years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
