The Digital School – one of Mohammed bin Rashid’s global initiatives – has received international academic accreditation from the “New England Association of Schools and Colleges” (NEASC), making it the first educational institution of its kind globally to offer high-quality digital education to underprivileged communities around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Digital School, emphasized that this international recognition, embodied by receiving the international academic accreditation, represents a global acknowledgment of the UAE’s leadership in this pioneering experience and the positive impact of this initiative. This initiative reflects the visions of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, in leading the future of digital education and empowering the less fortunate around the world with innovative solutions to provide the best educational opportunities using technology and innovative methods for students globally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His Excellency stated that since its establishment, The Digital School has been committed to developing a high-quality digital education system, adopting the best technological solutions, and involving the community in providing it to students worldwide. Since its launch, this initiative has reached more than 160,000 beneficiaries in over 14 countries, trained more than 2,500 digital teachers, and provided educational and training content in multiple languages including Arabic, English, French, and Spanish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He pointed out that the international accreditation of the Digital School marks a new achievement added to the series of successes of this global initiative and drives it toward achieving more accomplishments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Walid Al Ali, Secretary-General of the Digital School, stated that receiving international academic accreditation will enhance the UAE’s leadership in digital education and increase confidence in the Digital School and its programs as a provider of high-quality services globally among governments and educational institutions. He added that the international accreditation will ensure the quality of the student experience at the Digital School and improve their chances of continuing their university or vocational education or entering the job market by obtaining internationally accredited academic certificates from the Digital School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cameron Staples, President of the “New England Association of Schools and Colleges,” praised the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and his generous initiatives to support education and provide future opportunities for many children around the world through digital learning. He stated that by obtaining full accreditation from NEASC, the Digital School has proven that it has developed an educational program that meets the challenge of creating inclusive and excellent education for students regardless of their educational environment. This achievement will provide students with international recognition of their program by educational institutions and employers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Staples added that the mission of the Digital School aligns with NEASC’s priorities to enhance equity and inclusion in education and that the Digital School has developed an integrated education system that meets high standards of educational excellence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The international academic accreditation process for the Digital School, conducted by the “New England Association of Schools and Colleges,” took three stages over three years, including field visits, continuous auditing and follow-up by the institution’s experts, and the development of best practices and standards in line with digital education in marginalized communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The “New England Association of Schools and Colleges” is one of the most prestigious academic accreditation institutions in the United States, established in 1885, with a presence in more than 90 countries worldwide. The academic accreditation it provides ensures a high-level system for educational institutions, guaranteeing the application of best educational practices and providing students with opportunities to achieve international academic standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The Digital School,” launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in November 2020 as part of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, is the first fully integrated digital school of its kind. It aims to empower students with digital learning options in areas where suitable conditions or necessary resources are unavailable for students to continue their education.
