‘Digital School’ cooperates with strategic partners to expand its students’ reach globally

The Digital School, which is one of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum‘s global initiatives, has recently announced a number of strategic initiatives and partnerships aimed at advancing its vision of leading the future of digital learning and enabling students from all communities to create a better future.

The Digital School has signed two important agreements. The first is with the Human Aid and Development (HAND) organisation to implement and support a digital education project for Syrian refugees in Lebanon for a period of three years. The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Abdel Qader Al Sankari. The second agreement is with the Fatima bint Mohamed Bin Zayed Initiative, with whom the Digital School will collaborate on digital education programmes.

The announcement was made during the “Digital School Dialogues” at the World Government Summit 2023. The purpose of the dialogues was to engage with partners, highlight the importance of digital education and showcase the Digital School’s achievements in providing educational opportunities for all through the implementation of advanced technology solutions.

The meeting was attended by Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, who is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Digital School and Managing Director of the World Government Summit Organisation. Also in attendance were Dr. Hamdan Musallam Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), Hamoud Abdullah Al Junaibi, Deputy Secretary-General of the Emirates Red Crescent, Dr. Abdul Qadir Al Sankari, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Humanitarian Aid Society, and Farshid Jabbarkhel, Director-General of Sheikha Fatima bint Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Project (FBMI).

Al Olama stressed the importance of promoting new partnerships to enhance the pivotal role of the Digital School as a platform to provide advanced digital education solutions to students around the world. He added that providing learning and knowledge sources for the new generations is a key to enable them to actively participate in the development of societies and ensure building the best future. He commended the partners tremendous efforts and work to support the goals of the Digital School, stressing that they all share the same visions and values.

For his part, Al Mazrouei stated, “The ERC appreciates partnerships that embody its vision of uniting efforts in order to advance the education process in countries and regions that face humanitarian crises and development challenges in this field, which in turns confirms its constant seek to innovate solutions that make education available to all regardless of their circumstances and despite crises and emergencies, believing in the importance of education in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.”

Dr. Al Sankari commented, “Investment in education is the most important developmental investment because its impact is sustainable. Furthermore, in line with the global era we live now, we must employ modern technologies to achieve the greatest impact and enhance cooperation with the digital school and FBMI”.

For his part, Farshid Jabbarkhel, said, “We are proud to sign this strategic partnership, which is an important step towards providing education,” adding that “We have developed an implementation model that fits local and international requirements, and we seek to advance the social services provided to FBMI’s employees and their families.”

The Digital School provides professional development programmes for all teachers, offer support, train them on management systems and tools, the educational model, the design of learning activities, and the measurement and evaluation of models and tools.

The partnerships also include developing an experimental model to explore opportunities for using digital learning and to cooperate in implementing pilot projects in digital education with the aim of developing implementation mechanisms and solutions such as the environment, infrastructure, motivations and learning activities.

أطلقت المدرسة الرقمية إحدى مبادرات محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم العالمية شراكات استراتيجية جديدة، بهدف دعم تحقيق رؤية المدرسة الرقمية في قيادة مستقبل التعلم الرقمي نحو آفاق جديدة، لتمكين الطلاب في المجتمعات الأقل حظاً من صناعة مستقبل أفضل.
ووقعت المدرسة الرقمية اتفاقيتي شراكة استراتيجية، الأولى مع جمعية المساعدات الإنسانية (HAND) لتنفيذ ودعم مشروع التعليم الرقمي للاجئين السوريين في لبنان، والثانية مع مشروع سمو الشيخة فاطمة بنت محمد بن زايد آل نهيان (FBMI) للتعاون في برامج التعليم الرقمي.
جاء ذلك، خلال “حوارات المدرسة الرقمية”، ضمن أعمال للقمة العالمية للحكومات 2023، الهادفة لتعزيز التواصل مع الشركاء، وتسليط الضوء على أهمية التعليم الرقمي في المرحلة الحالية والمستقبل، والتعريف بجهود المدرسة الرقمية في توفير فرص تعليمية للجميع عبر توظيف حلول التكنولوجيا المتقدمة.
حضر الحوارات، معالي عمر سلطان العلماء وزير دولة للذكاء الاصطناعي والاقتصاد الرقمي وتطبيقات العمل عن بعد، رئيس مجلس إدارة المدرسة الرقمية، مدير مؤسسة القمة العالمية للحكومات، ومعالي الدكتور حمدان مسلم المزروعي رئيس مجلس إدارة هيئة الهلال الأحمر الإماراتي، وسعادة حمود عبد الله الجنيبي الأمين العام المكلف لهيئة الهلال الأحمر الإماراتي والدكتور عبد القادر السنكري رئيس مجلس أمناء جمعية المساعدات الإنسانية، وفرشيد جبارخيل مدير عام مشروع سمو الشيخة فاطمة بنت محمد بن زايد آل نهيان (FBMI) إلى جانب عدد من المتخصصين من القطاع التعليمي والتنموي والشركاء الدوليين للمدرسة الرقمية.
وأكد معالي عمر سلطان العلماء أهمية توسيع دائرة شراكات المدرسة الرقمية، بما يدعم تحقيق أهدافها، ويعزز دورها منصة متطورة لتوفير حلول التعليم الرقمي للطلاب حول العالم، مشيراً إلى أن توفير مصادر التعلم والمعرفة للجيل الجديد يمثل عنصراً رئيسياً لتمكينهم من المشاركة الفاعلة في تطوير المجتمعات واللحاق بركب المستقبل.

وأشاد بجهود الشركاء لسعيهم الدؤوب لدعم أهداف المدرسة الرقمية الإنسانية، وتمكين الطلاب من حقهم الإنساني بالتعلم واكتساب العلوم والمهارات التي تمكنهم من صناعة مستقبلهم ومستقبل مجتمعاتهم.
وقال معالي الدكتور حمدان المزروعي: “إن هيئة الهلال الأحمر الإماراتي تركز على تعزيز الشراكات الذكية التي تجسد رؤيتها في تكثيف الجهود من أجل دفع مسيرة التعليم في الدول والمناطق التي تواجه أزمات إنسانية وتحديات تنموية في هذا الصدد، ما يؤكد سعيها الدائم لابتكار الحلول التي تجعل من التعليم متاحا للجميع في كل الأحوال والظروف رغم الأزمات والطوارئ.”
من جهته، قال الدكتور عبد القادر السنكري إن الاستثمار في التعليم يشكّل أهم الاستثمارات التنموية بسبب أثرها المستدام ودورها في تحقيق أكبر أثر ولأكبر عدد لمن هم في أمس الحاجة، وهذا ما دفعنا للتعاون مع المدرسة الرقمية ومبادرات الشيخ محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم العالمية.

وأضاف أنه من خلال توظيف التعليم الرقمي ضمن مشروع المدرسة الرقمية لتعليم اللاجئين السوريين في لبنان، تمكنا من رفع السعة الاستيعابية للبرامج التعليمية إلى نحو أربعة أضعاف.
وقال فرشيد جبارخيل: “نفخر بالشراكة الاستراتيجية التي تعتبر خطوة مهمة في سبيل توفير التعليم بشكل عام وللفتيات بشكل خاص .. لقد وضعنا نموذج تنفيذ يوائم الاحتياجات المحلية والمجتمعية، ونسعى للنهوض بالخدمات الاجتماعية المقدمة لموظفي FBMI وعائلاتهم”.
وسيتم بموجب الاتفاقية الأولى بالشراكة مع (HAND)، التوسع في تنفيذ برامج المدرسة الرقمية للاجئين السوريين في لبنان، من خلال إتاحة 30 ألف فرصة تعلم للطلاب السوريين على مدى 3 سنوات، عبر توفير برامج تعليمية مصممة خصيصاً لتوائم المنهاج اللبناني وتساعد الأطفال على تجاوز سنوات التعليم التي فاتتهم عبر برامج التعليم العلاجي والتعليم المسرع، وإلحاقهم بالتعليم النظامي من الصف الرابع إلى التاسع.
وتنص الاتفاقية الثانية بالشراكة مع FBMI على تطوير نموذج تجريبي لاستكشاف فرص استخدام التعلم الرقمي لمساعدة الفتيات على مواصلة تعليمهن الرسمي، والتعاون في تنفيذ مشاريع تجريبية في التعليم الرقمي بهدف تطوير آليات التنفيذ وتطوير حلول توائم التحديات مثل البيئة والبنية التحتية والدوافع وأنشطة التعلم لمساعدة الفتيات على استخدام الأدوات الرقمية للتعلم.
