The “Digital School” announces the details of the achievements of its first year
"المدرسة الرقمية" تعلن تفاصيل إنجازات عامها الأول
Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Business Applications, confirmed on the authority of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Digital School, that the “Digital School” initiative – one of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI); An inspiring and creative humanitarian initiative, considering that the rise of nations begins with providing education for young people, followed by that of the economy.
This came during a press conference today, in order to launch and announce the details of the initiative’s achievements and educational opportunities for more than 20,000 students during its first year, at the Giving Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, in the presence of members of the Board of Directors of the “Digital School”.
Omar bin Sultan Al Olama said that the digital school works to empower young people in less fortunate countries to complete education, due to the challenges and variables they are exposed to, the latest of which is the pandemic, in implementation of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to Providing distance education for all students in the UAE, and providing an educational platform for less fortunate students in refugee camps in different places.”
He added: “The digital school began its work in November 2020, as part of an experimental phase of 20,000 students, with the aim of experimenting with the systems and content, their suitability for all target groups in different classes, and studying the extent to which students interact and respond to the approved curricula, and the digital school aims to enroll more than a million students in 2026, and work to provide partners from international organizations and start during the first year by adopting a strategy that targeted 20,000 students in 5 countries.
In her turn, Head of Strategy and Government Innovation, Huda Al-Hashemi, said: “The initiative seeks to achieve the objectives of supporting education as an essential part of the sustainable development goals and to provide flexible and advanced methods for education and upgrading skills, by developing targets in the coming years, through 3 axes: providing access to educational curricula, promoting for accredited programs, and to adopt the tools necessary for the digital platform to reach students.”
Dr. Abdullah Al Karam, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director General of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai, said: “We focused on specific educational topics, using technology, whether on students or teachers by providing digital content that suits students in their countries, the systems used there, and a smooth transition from curricula. The traditional approach to digital curricula, the transformation of that content and the educational curriculum, and its adoption internationally from accredited international certificates, as well as the training of teachers through appropriate courses, through partners, most notably the University of Arizona, which is distinguished in the field of distance education.
For his part, Dr. Tariq Al Gurg, CEO of Dubai Cares, said: “When the pandemic swept the world, the world could not stop where to start, but the UAE immediately rushed to provide the necessary capabilities by presenting inspiring ideas to the world, due to the lack of a global solution. In education, the digital school initiative was able to reach the less fortunate students in the world, and we have been in Dubai Cares since the beginning of its establishment 15 years ago, we aimed to reach 60 years, and we aim to take the digital school to all global partners from the United Nations and others and the work of international alliances And we have provided more than 32 global partners, and we have allocated a grant of 5 million dirhams to the digital school.”
The Secretary-General of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, Dr. Muhammad Ateeq Al-Falahi, considered the digital school platform very important, “The refugee is destined to return to his country later. Education is a very important weapon. We must educate our students, and provide them with all appropriate methods of education, and we implemented through the Crescent The Emirati Red has several humanitarian initiatives, but this initiative is considered the most important, and we have achieved many gains on the ground, in a short period and at a lower cost.”
The General Coordinator of the Digital School Project, Dr. Walid Al Ali, stressed: “The digital school seeks through applications that rely on digital technology and to enable all those who want to learn to obtain opportunities to receive knowledge, and we have new targets to reach 5 other countries, and to reach those countries that suffer and provide the infrastructure In addition to the importance of cooperation with experts and specialists from the best universities and international institutions to design, develop and implement initiatives that adopt the best methods in the field of digital, self and continuous education that puts students at the disposal of students, especially in societies most in need of support, new learning methods that help them develop Self and progress in life.
Assistant Professor at the College of Technological Studies in Kuwait, Dr. Muhammad Qassem: “The use of technology in this educational platform is different from other platforms, as it allows the feature of artificial intelligence, which provides students with all the way to distance education, and also provides what is missing from the needs in order for the student to complete his educational process successfully and ensuring a smooth transition in the educational stages.
The “Digital School” is the first integrated and accredited Arab initiative that provides distance education in a smart and flexible way for students from various social and economic backgrounds and educational levels, and from any country in the world, targeting primarily the most vulnerable and disadvantaged societal groups and refugees in Arab societies and the world.
أكد معالي عمر بن سلطان العلماء وزير دولة للذكاء الاصطناعي والاقتصاد الرقمي وتطبيقات العمل عن رئيس مجلس إدارة المدرسة الرقمية، أن مبادرة “المدرسة الرقمية” – إحدى مبادرات محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم العالمية /MBRGI/؛ مبادرة إنسانية مُلهمة وخلاقة معتبرا أن نهضة الأمم تبدأ بتوفير التعليم للنشيء يتبعه ذلك الاقتصاد.
جاء ذلك خلال مؤتمر صحافي، اليوم، من أجل تدشين وإعلان تفاصيل ما قدمته المبادرة من إنجازات وفرص تعليم لأكثر من 20 ألف طالب خلال مسيرتها في السنة الأولى، وذلك في جناح العطاء في إكسبو 2020 دبي، بحضور أعضاء مجلس إدارة “المدرسة الرقمية”.
وقال معالي عمر بن سلطان العلماء إن المدرسة الرقمية تعمل علي تمكين الشباب في الدول الأقل حظاً لإكمال التعليم ، بسبب ما يتعرضون له من تحديات ومتغيرات آخرها الجائحة ، تنفيذاً لرؤية صاحب السمو الشيخ محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم نائب رئيس الدولة رئيس مجلس الوزراء حاكم دبي “رعاه الله” من أجل توفير التعليم عن بعد لكل الطلاب في دولة الإمارات ، وتوفير منصة تعليمية للطلاب الأقل حظاً في مخيمات اللاجئين في الأماكن المختلفة “.
وأضاف معاليه: “المدرسة الرقمية بدأت عملها في نوفمبر 2020، ضمن مرحلة تجريبية تضم 20 ألف طالب بهدف تجربة الأنظمة والمحتوى، ومدى ملاءمتها لجميع الفئات المستهدفة في مختلف الصفوف الدراسية، ودراسة مدى تفاعل الطلاب واستجابتهم للمناهج المعتمدة، وتستهدف المدرسة الرقمية إلحاق أكثر من مليون طالب في 2026، والعمل علي توفير الشركاء من المنظمات الدولية والبداية خلال العام الأول من خلال اعتماد استراتيجية استهدفت 20 ألف طالب في 5 دول”.
بدورها قالت سعادة هدى الهاشمي، رئيسة الاستراتيجية والابتكار الحكومي: ” تسعى المبادرة لتحقيق أهداف دعم التعليم كجزء أساسي من أهداف التنمية المستدامة وتوفير طرق مرنة ومتطورة للتعليم والارتقاء بالمهارات ، من خلال تطوير المستهدفات خلال الأعوام القادمة ، عبر 3 محاور هي : توفير الوصول إلى المناهج التعليمية ، الترويج للبرامج المعتمدة ، واعتماد الأدوات اللازمة للمنصة الرقمية للوصول للطلاب”.
قال الدكتور عبد الله الكرم، رئيس مجلس المديرين المدير العام لهيئة المعرفة والتنمية البشرية بدبي: ” ركزنا علي موضوعات تعليمية محددة، باستخدام التكنولوجيا، سواء علي الطلاب أو المعلمين من خلال توفير محتوي رقمي ، يلائم الطلاب في دولهم ، والأنظمة المستخدمة هناك، والانتقال السلس من المناهج التقليدية الي المناهج الرقمية ، وتحويل ذلك المحتوي والمنهج التعليمي ، واعتماده دولياً من الشهادات الدولية المعتمدة ، وأيضا تدريب المعلمين من خلال الدورات المناسبة ، من خلال الشركاء وأبرزهم جامعة أريزونا المميزة في مجال التعليم عن بعد”.
من جانبه ، أوضح الدكتور طارق القرق، الرئيس التنفيذي لـ«دبي العطاء»: ” حينما اجتاحت الجائحة العالم وقف العالم لا يستطيع من أين يبدأ ، لكن دولة الإمارات سارعت علي الفور في توفير الإمكانيات اللازمة من خلال تقديم أفكار ملهمة للعالم، بسبب عدم وجود تحال عالمي في التعليم ، استطاعت مبادرة المدرسة الرقمية الوصول إلى الطلاب الأقل حظاً في العالم، ونحن في “دبي للعطاء” من بداية التأسيس منذ 15 عاماً ، استهدفنا الوصول إلى 60 عاما ، ونستهدف أن نأخذ المدرسة الرقمية إلى جميع الشركاء العالميين من الأمم المتحدة وغيرها وعمل تحالفات دولية ، ووفرنا مايزيد عن 32 شريكا عالميا ، وخصصنا منحة 5 ملايين درهم إلى المدرسة الرقمية “.
واعتبر الدكتور محمد عتيق الفلاحي، الأمين العام لهيئة الهلال الأحمر الإماراتي منصة المدرسة الرقمية مهمة جداً”، فاللاجئ مصيره أن يعود إلى بلده فيما بعد، التعليم سلاح مهم جداً يجب علينا ان نوعي طلابنا ، وان نوفر لهم كل الطرق المناسبة للتعليم ، ونفذنا من خلال الهلال الأحمر الإماراتي عدة مبادرات إنسانية لكن تلك المبادرة تعتبر أهمها ، وحققنا مكاسب كثيرة علي الأرض، في فترة قصيرة وبتكلفة أقل”.
وأكد الدكتور وليد آل علي، المنسق العام لمشروع المدرسة الرقمية: ” تسعي المدرسة الرقمية من خلال التطبيقات التي تعتمد التكنولوجيا الرقمية وتمكين جميع الراغبين بالتعلم من الحصول على فرص لتلقي المعرفة، ولدينا مستهدفات جديدة للوصول إلى 5 دول آخري ، والوصول إلى تلك الدول التي تعاني وتوفير البنية التحتية للطلاب من كهرباء وانترنت وأجهزة ، علاوة على أهمية التعاون مع خبراء ومختصين من أفضل الجامعات والمؤسسات العالمية لتصميم وتطوير وتنفيذ مبادرات تتبنى أفضل الطرق في مجال التعليم الرقمي والذاتي والمستمر يضع في متناول الطلبة، خاصة في المجتمعات الأشد حاجة للدعم، وسائل تعلم جديدة تساعدهم على تطوير الذات والتقدم في الحياة”.
أكد الدكتور محمد قاسم، الأستاذ المساعد في كلية الدراسات التكنولوجية في الكويت: ” ان استخدام التكنولوجيا في تلك المنصة التعليمية يختلف عن المنصات الآخري اذ يتيح خاصية الذكاء الاصطناعي الذي يوفر للطلاب كافة الطريق للتعليم عن بعد، وأيضا توفير ما ينقصه من احتياجات من أجل أن يستكمل الطالب عمليته التعليمية بنجاح وضمان الانتقال السلس في المراحل التعليمية “.
وتعد “المدرسة الرقمية” أول مبادرة عربية متكاملة ومُعتمَدة توفر التعليم عن بُعد بطريقة ذكية ومرنة للطلاب من شتى الخلفيات الاجتماعية والاقتصادية والمستويات التعليمية، ومن أي بلد في العالم، مستهدفةً بالدرجة الأولى الفئات المجتمعية الأكثر هشاشة والأقل حظاً واللاجئين في المجتمعات العربية والعالم.
