The “Digital School” cooperates with the World Food Program in Egypt to cover 100 educational centers

His Excellency Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Digital Economy, Artificial Intelligence and Remote Work Applications and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the “Digital School”, stressed that the partnership with the World Food Program comes within the framework of the “Digital School”‘s keenness to expand its global partnerships aimed at enhancing the capabilities of digital education and achieving The vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to unite efforts in providing quality education opportunities for all.
This came following the agreement signed by the Digital School, one of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, with the World Food Program in the Arab Republic of Egypt with the aim of implementing innovative digital learning programs by the Digital School in community schools supervised by the World Food Program in Egypt. Where modern technologies are employed to expand educational opportunities and experience.
His Excellency added: “The agreement seeks to achieve the goals of supporting education as an essential part of the sustainable development goals, providing flexible and advanced methods for education, upgrading skills through applications that rely on digital technology, and enabling all those wishing to learn to obtain opportunities to receive knowledge wherever they are, and according to which experiences will be exchanged with the Food Program The United Nations’ global initiative, in order to achieve the sustainable development goals related to education by 2030, as the agreement will contribute to the implementation of the digital school in 100 educational centers, reaching the largest possible number of students during the next stages.
His Excellency pointed out that the digital learning sector is constantly developing and rising around the world, which highlights the importance of the availability of digital tools, the use of advanced technology, the adoption of innovative practices and smart technologies, and the strengthening of partnership with academic institutions and educational bodies in pursuit of sustainable development goals in spreading education around the world. The UAE is keen to share its vast experience and successful experience in employing its technological infrastructure and specialized talents to find innovative solutions that serve communities around the world.
For his part, Pravin Agrawal, Director of the World Food Programme, Resident Representative and Director of the World Food Program Office in the Arab Republic of Egypt, said: “Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, said, ‘Women are half of society, and a country that builds itself should not keep women drowning. In the darkness of ignorance, captive to the shackles of oppression.” Through the digital school, we seek to provide advanced education for community schools in Egypt, where the percentage of female students reaches more than 70%.
The agreement comes within the framework of the “Digital School”‘s endeavor to spread this initiative in many countries, especially in educationally disadvantaged communities, through official frameworks and channels concerned with education and learning in these countries, with the aim of educating one million students around the world by 2026, by providing Digital educational and enrichment materials that harmonize the Arab and international curricula, provide the opportunity for interaction between teachers and students through virtual classrooms, and in the future offer internationally accredited certificates, enabling students to complete their university studies or obtain jobs in institutions and companies.
Once the first phase is concluded by the end of the current academic year, coordination will be made to expand the scope and impact of the initiative to include more sites and beneficiaries throughout the Arab Republic of Egypt and other countries in which the World Food Program supports education and implements the “Digital School”, a digital teacher training program, which aims To build the capacities of teachers and educational leaders and enable them to practically contribute to building flexible and advanced learning communities, by working to develop capabilities and skills in the areas of digital education in partnership and coordination with Arizona State University, enabling them to become certified digital teachers.
Providing quality education as a basis for achieving and sustaining development is among the priorities of the digital school as a comprehensive Arab and international initiative that contributes to supporting the existing education systems, and provides a flexible option for digital self-learning at a time when the speed of adaptation to transformations and changes has become a requirement for the continuity of education. Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s global initiatives, to provide learning opportunities for students wherever they are and in different circumstances, and to introduce an integrated, flexible and approved digital educational curriculum for different educational levels that takes into account the personal needs of each learner and develops knowledge and skills by making use of artificial intelligence applications and advanced digital technologies, as well as raising the educational level. Establishing standards for digital education in cooperation and coordination with various local, regional and international bodies concerned with the future of digital and continuous learning, leading to the education of one million students around the world over the next five years.

أكد معالي عمر بن سلطان العلماء، وزير الدولة للاقتصاد الرقمي والذكاء الاصطناعي وتطبيقات العمل عن بُعد ورئيس مجلس إدارة “المدرسة الرقمية”، إن الشراكة مع برنامج الأغذية العالمي تأتي في إطار حرص “المدرسة الرقمية” على توسيع شراكاتها العالمية الهادفة إلى تعزيز إمكانات التعليم الرقمي وتحقيق رؤية صاحب السمو الشيخ محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم نائب رئيس الدولة رئيس مجلس الوزراء حاكم دبي “رعاه الله”، الرامية لتوحيد الجهود في توفير فرص التعليم الجيد للجميع.
جاء ذلك عقب الاتفاقية التي وقعتها “المدرسة الرقمية” إحدى مبادرات محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم العالمية، مع برنامج الأغذية العالمي في جمهورية مصر العربية بهدف تطبيق برامج التعلم الرقمي المبتكرة من قبل المدرسة الرقمية في المدارس المجتمعية التي يشرف عليها برنامج الأغذية العالمي في مصر، والتي يتم فيها توظيف التقنيات الحديثة لتوسيع الفرص والتجربة التعليمية،.
وأضاف معاليه: ” ان الاتفاقية تسعى لتحقيق أهداف دعم التعليم كجزء أساسي من أهداف التنمية المستدامة وتوفير طرق مرنة ومتطورة للتعليم والارتقاء بالمهارات من خلال التطبيقات التي تعتمد التكنولوجيا الرقمية وتمكين جميع الراغبين بالتعلم من الحصول على فرص لتلقي المعرفة أينما كانوا، وبموجبها ستتبادل الخبرات مع برنامج الأغذية العالمي التابع للأمم المتحدة، من أجل تحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة المتعلقة بالتعليم بحلول عام 2030، حيث ستساهم الاتفاقية في تطبيق المدرسة الرقمية في 100 مركز تعليمي ، وصولاً إلى أكبر عدد ممكن من الطلاب خلال المراحل المقبلة.
وأشار معاليه بأن قطاع التعلّم الرقمي في تطور وصعود مستمر حول العالم، ما يبرز أهمية توافر الأدوات الرقمية، وتوظيف التكنولوجيا المتطورة، واعتماد ممارسات مبتكرة وتقنيات ذكية، وتعزيز الشراكة مع المؤسسات الأكاديمية والهيئات التعليمية سعياً لتحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة في نشر التعليم حول العالم، مشيراً إلى حرص دولة الإمارات على مشاركة خبراتها الواسعة وتجربتها الناجحة في توظيف بنيتها التحتية التكنولوجية ومواهبها المتخصصة لإيجاد حلول مبتكرة تخدم المجتمعات حول العالم.
ومن جهته، قال برافين أغراول، مدير برنامج الأغذية العالمي والممثل المقيم ومدير مكتب برنامج الأغذية العالمي بجمهورية مصر العربية: “قال الشيخ زايد بن سلطان آل نهيان، طيّب الله ثراه، ’ إن المرأة نصف المجتمع، ولا ينبغي لدولة تبني نفسها أن تُبقي المرأة غارقة في ظلام الجهل، أسيرة لأغلال القهر‘. ونسعى من خلال المدرسة الرقمية لأن نوفر تعليماً متطوراً للمدارس المجتمعية في مصر التي تصل فيها نسبة الطالبات إلى أكثر من 70%”.
وتأتي الاتفاقية في إطار سعي “المدرسة الرقمية” لنشر هذه المبادرة في العديد من البلدان خاصة في المجتمعات الأقل حظاً تعليميا ، وذلك من خلال الأطر والقنوات الرسمية المعنية بالتعليم والتعلم في هذه البلدان، بهدف تعليم مليون طالب حول العالم بحلول العام 2026، وذلك من خلال توفير مواد دراسية وإثرائية رقمية توائم المناهج العربية والعالمية، وتتيح الفرصة للتفاعل بين المعلمين والطلاب عبر صفوف دراسية افتراضية، وتقدم في المستقبل شهادات معتمدة دولياً، تمكّن الطلاب من إكمال دراستهم الجامعية أو الحصول على وظائف في المؤسسات والشركات.
وبمجرد اختتام المرحلة الأولى بنهاية العام الدراسي الجاري، سيتم التنسيق على توسيع نطاق المبادرة وأثرها لتشمل مواقع ومستفيدين أكثر في مختلف أنحاء جمهورية مصر العربية وغيرها من البلدان التي يقوم برنامج الأغذية العالمي على دعم التعليم بها وتنفذ “المدرسة الرقمية”، برنامج تدريب المعلمين الرقميين، الهادف لبناء قدرات المعلمين والقيادات التعليمية وتمكينها من المساهمة العملية في بناء مجتمعات تعلّم مرنة ومتقدمة، وذلك من خلال العمل على تطوير الإمكانات والمهارات في مجالات التعليم الرقمي بالشراكة والتنسيق مع جامعة ولاية أريزونا، بما يمكنهم من أن يصبحوا معلمين رقميين معتمدين.
ويأتي توفير التعليم الجيد كأساس لتحقيق التنمية واستدامتها ضمن أولويات المدرسة الرقمية كمبادرة عربية وعالمية شاملة تسهم في دعم منظومات التعليم القائمة، وتوفر خياراً مرناً للتعلّم الذاتي رقمياً في وقت أصبحت فيه سرعة التكيف مع التحولات والتغيرات مطلباً لاستمرارية التعليم، حيث تهدف “المدرسة الرقمية”، إحدى مبادرات محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم العالمية، لتوفير فرص التعلم للطلاب حيثما كانوا وفي مختلف الظروف، وطرح منهج تعليمي رقمي متكامل ومرن ومعتمد لمختلف المراحل الدراسية يراعي الاحتياجات الشخصية لكل متعلّم ويطوّر المعارف والمهارات بالاستفادة من تطبيقات الذكاء الاصطناعي والتقنيات الرقمية المتقدمة، فضلاً عن رفع المستوى التعليمي، وترسيخ معايير قياسية للتعليم الرقمي بالتعاون والتنسيق مع مختلف الجهات المحلية والإقليمية والدولية المعنية بمستقبل التعلّم الرقمي والمستمر، وصولاً إلى تعليم مليون طالب حول العالم خلال السنوات الخمس المقبلة.
